The Institute for Visual and Intelligent Systems (IPIS) at Chung-Ang University is leading research, technology development, technology transfer, commercialization, and startup support in the fields of image enhancement, image restoration, image super-resolution, computational photography, 3D image and video synthesis, and video analysis and tracking.

The research results are applied to satellite imagery, HDTV, UHDTV, digital cinema, smartphone cameras, intelligent surveillance systems, and intelligent vehicles.

Undergraduate students majoring in electrical, electronic, control, computer, software, and multimedia engineering can gain research experience as interns, and graduate students at the master's and doctoral levels receive full scholarships and a small stipend for living expenses.

In addition, IPIS provides travel and travel expenses to international conferences, and publication incentives for submitting papers to SCIE.

The IPIS does not discriminate against nationality, gender, religion, region, or school of origin, but selects new students based on their research ability and commitment.
